Northern Anime Festival 2010 will be held at Durham College & UOIT, located at:

Durham College, first established in the mid 1960s, is located in one of many beautiful areas within the Oshawa area. Aside from our activities being held at this venue, Durham College is surrounded by wonderful greenery and nature paths perfect for photo shoots and downtime. Additionally we will be having activities hosted outside, making the most of this wonderful area.

Directions

Driving

From the West (Toronto)
Take Highway 401 eastbound until you reach Oshawa. Get off at exit number 417 (RR-02 / Simcoe Street). Then make a left onto Bloor (RR-22). Turn left onto Simcoe Street (North) and follow that all the way up toward Durham College. The college will be located on the left side of the street.

From The East (Ottawa)
Take Highway 401 westbound until you reach Oshawa. Get off at exit number 418 (RR-16 / Ritson Road). Turn right onto Toronto Avenue and follow it until you reach Ritson Road. Turn left onto Ritson Road (North) and follow that until you reach Rossland road. Turn left onto Rossland Road and take it to Simcoe Street. Turn right onto Simcoe Street and take up to the college. The college will be located on the left side of the street.

Alternatively, Google Maps or Mapquest are quite handy. Just fill in your starting address and the address of the college to get directions.

Parking

There are over 3750 parking spaces all over the college. Parking is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Paid parking is in effect. If you are parking on campus you will need to purchase a parking ticket. The rate for parking on campus is as follows:

Public Transit

GO Transit (Train)

The GO train will take you to the Oshawa GO Station. For schedules and fares please visit the GO Transit website. From the GO Station, take either the 3 Park or the 13 Go Shuttle. Ask the bus driver to notify you when you get to the transfer point for catching the 1 Simcoe North. Stay on the 1 Simcoe until you reach Durham College.

GO Transit (Buses)

GO buses will take you to either the Oshawa GO Station, or the Oshawa Bus Terminal. For schedules and fares please visit the GO Transit website.

From the GO Station, take either the 3 Park or the 13 Go Shuttle. Ask the bus driver to notify you when you get to the transfer point for catching the 1 Simcoe North. Stay on the 1 Simcoe until you reach Durham College. From the Bus Terminal, walk one block east on Bond Street to connect with the Durham Transit route number 1 Simcoe North bus, which will take you into Durham College.

Regions Without GO Transit

From areas such as Niagara, Ottawa, Belleville, or Kingston, where there is no GO Transit, there is Via Rail which travels through and stops at Oshawa at the Oshawa GO Station. From the GO Station, take either the 3 Park or the 13 Go Shuttle. Ask the bus driver to notify you when you get to the transfer point for catching the 1 Simcoe North. Stay on the 1 Simcoe until you reach Durham College. For schedules and fares please visit the Via Rail website.

Durham Region Transit

Durham transit now operates several region wide routes which go into Durham College. These routes include the 1 Simcoe, the 915 Taunton and the 916 Rossland. For schedules and fares please visit the Durham Region Transit website.

The South Village residence will be offering accommodations at group rate for anyone attending Northern Anime Festival. South Village is located just minutes away from our event on the college campus. Suites include two beds in separate rooms with wired network access, living room with television, bathroom with shower, and a continental breakfast.
